Lewis Hamilton the former 7-time Formula1 world champion would be looking to absolutely dominate Max Verstappen during the 2022 Formula1 season, that is according to sky sports analyst Anthony Davidson.
The disappointment of the 2021 Formula1 season would be fresh in the mind of Lewis Hamilton and according to Davidson, the world is going to witness the best of Lewis Hamilton during the 2022 season.
It was stated in GPblog that While talking about the veteran brit, Davidson told said, “Lewis will want nothing more than to destroy Max Verstappen this season.”
Davidson is very confident that it is going to be very hard for other drivers to beat Hamilton this season, and there is a very specific reason behind Davidson’s statement.
According to Davidson, Lewis still feels that he was robbed of his record-breaking eighth world title after the shenanigans of last season’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. “He wants to come out with a dominant car and he doesn’t even want to see Max on the track, I’m sure.”
Max Verstappen and George Russel will be chasing Lewis Hamilton during the 2022 season
According to the British motorsports racing driver Paul Di Resta, Max Verstappen is not going to be the only driver that Lewis would have to deal with during the 2022 season, in Resta’s opinion George Russell could also become a major player in the race for the championship, but still feels Hamilton would be able to come out on top at the end.
“I think people underestimate Lewis. How ruthless he is in the race. He’s an absolute beast when it comes to what he can get out of the car.”
The prevailing mass opinion regarding Lewis Hamilton is that his performances during 2022 are mostly going to be affected by his mindset during the season. If Lewis is in the right mindset then it would be very hard for anyone to bet against the Mercedes starlet.
Lewis Hamilton was looking in good spirits during the first season testing and was also the stand-out performer who topped the timing sheets. If the first pre-season testing is anything to go by, it is going to be a steep task for Verstappen and co to challenge Lewis during the 2022 season.
