Christian Horner fires shots at Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff claiming that Mercedes unofficially had a number 1 driver in the last five years while the duo of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas drove for them and sometimes it definitely seemed like the whole crew and the team including Valtteri was working towards making Lewis Hamilton the world champion.

Red Bull team Principal Christian Horner claims that things are going to be drastically different as Valtteri Bottas shall be replaced by the prodigy George Russell. We all have seen glimpses of magic from this talented youngster during the last season and now with a better car, he might be set to take over the reins from Lewis Hamilton.

George Russell has always seen as someone who will fight tooth and nail for everything that is there for the taking and we don’t that changing as this could initiate a tough intra team competition and Mercedes might be the clear loser in the current situation.

This could roll back the years as this reminds of the epic rivalry Lewis Hamilton had with Jenson Button while both drove for McLaren from 2010-2012. Lewis Hamilton, a rookie went after the pro Jenson Button and eventually got the better off of him and this could be the exact same situation.

Christian Horner has been quick to realize that and expressed that when he said, “Lewis is going to be massively motivated this season.”

“But he’s going to have more competition internally because he’s got a hungry competitive young team-mate who is going to be snapping at his ankles.

“Life is not going to be getting easier for him, that’s for sure.“

Lewis Hamilton has had to deal with Red Bull and Max Verstappen throughout the last season but this season he might have to fend off attacks from his own team-mate, George Russell. The cards are stacked against him but we know he’ll come out swinging and wouldn’t definitely go down without a fight.
