Max Verstappen gearing up for a ‘battle’ with the Italian giants “Ferrari” in the upcoming season of F1
Max Verstappen
We all know the ongoing rivalry between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. The two locked horns throughout the length of the last season with Red Bull winning the driver’s championship and Mercedes grabbing the constructor’s championship. Last season was a two horse race from the very beginning with the duo of Red Bull and Mercedes being head and shoulders above the chasing pack.
But this looks set to change after what he have seen in pre season testing. Ferrari has seemed to have reduce the gap considerably and emerged as serious title contender and a force to be reckoned with.
The Italian giants have been in a period of transition as the team has gone through a roller coaster of emotions in the recent past. But with a few tweaks in the driver line up and after building a competitive challenger, the teams looks to return to the front of the grid. Charles Leclerc was given the longest contract extension in the history.
Max Verstappen looks set to face the Italian giants Ferrari after winning his maiden title last year
This means Ferrari is looking at the bigger picture. But they’ll have to keep in mind that Max Verstappen relishes such rivalries and is always up for a knife fight. This could definitely make it a three horse race with a negligible margin of error.
Max Verstappen is looking forward to fight it out. He said, “The car felt good. We have been testing here so I think overall you’re in a better window to start with, but I felt alright.”
“So very pleased, but you can see Ferrari is pushing hard and they’re very close, but that’s very exciting as well.”
“It’s good, I think that’s in general what everyone wants, right? To have the teams a bit closer together and I think over time it will only get closer, so that’s good.” As reported by planetf1.
The more the merrier. This hold true in the current situation Ferrari making it three way race. Max Verstappen and Red Bull need to pull their socks up and prepare themselves for a battle which will start this weekend in Bahrain.
