“Max Verstappen is aggressive as hell,” Lewis Hamilton fires shots at very ‘aggressive’ Dutchman
Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton is the most successful driver in Formula One’s history with 7 drivers’ titles to his name. The Brit has come shared rivalries with numerous greats but when asked to share his experience with his newest challenger, Hamilton shared a sharp opinion
Hamilton lost the final race in Abu Dhabi to Red Bull’s Max Verstappen after racing Wheel-to-Wheel in a nail-biting 2021 season. The controversial ruling by Masi allowed the cars between Hamilton and Verstappen to unlap themselves giving the Dutchman a chance to make the overtake on the Briton with his fresher soft tyres winning his maiden Formula One World Championship title.
But the duo shared multiple clashes across the season when they came in close contact on the Racetrack. Hamilton and Verstappen’s incidents in Silvertone, Monza, Brazil and Jeddah split the entire F1 community and added fuel to the rivalry.

“There are always bullies” says Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton claimed the style of driving Max Verstappen portrays is that he “bullies” racers into close racing. Max has been known for his aggressive and late-braking style of driving which has resulted in the Dutchman getting tangled with multiple drivers.
“I think Max is aggressive as hell. And more often than not, he pushes it to the limit and beyond,” said the Mercedes driver, quoted by the Express. “I’ve raced against a lot of drivers. There are always bullies, but that’s not how I operate. I just try and beat them on track.”
Hamilton added “Going into this year, I haven’t really set any goals initially. Naturally, every single individual within this team has worked towards the ultimate goal of winning the World Championship and again raising the bar and doing something that nobody has ever done before. We’ve done eight [consecutive Constructors’ titles], now we’ve got to move onto the next one.”
Hamilton will be aiming to claim his 8th Formula One Championship title after setting the fastest laptime during the Pre-season test. Partnering rookie George Russell, he will be hoping to claim a victory in the first race which begins on March 18th in Bahrain.
