Mercedes become the first team to fire up their 2022 challenger

Mercedes
Mercedes Formula1 team has become the first team among its rivals to rev up their 2022 Formula1 car. Neither of the other teams has so far done the same and it is highly unlikely that we are going to see any more cars revving up their engines before the end of 2021.
The silver arrows have shared a tweet on Twitter where they seem to be firing up their car for the Formula1 2022 season. The name of the 2022 challenger has also been revealed and they are calling it the W13.
The power unit for the W13 is going to be the same as that of 2021. All the Formula1 teams have agreed on an engine freeze until the next set of regulations that are going to kick in from 2026.
Mercedes has got a lot to look forward to

The Brackley-based Mercedes Formula1 team has got a lot on its plate as far as the 2022 season is concerned. They have been a winning machine since the turbo-hybrid era started in 2014 and since then they have won 8 consecutive Constructors championships, including one that they won at the end of 2021.
The only grey patch that they had in 2021 was Lewis Hamilton missing out on his 8th driver’s championship. The victory was snatched away from Lewis Hamilton in the dying stages of the title-deciding Abu Dhabi Grand Prix when Max Verstappen came out of nowhere on brand new soft tires.

It was a very controversial Grand Prix and the Mercedes outfit even lodged two complaints regarding it but later decided to withdraw their complaints. Ever since then, Lewis and Mercedes team Principal Toto have made their views clear regarding the incident by not showing up at the Gala ceremony and Toto even came out in public and made his opinion known to the world regarding the incident.
The Mercedes team would be looking to right the wrong of the 2021 season and would also want to make sure that they can secure the 2022 constructors’ title again.
