2021 was of mixed feelings for one of the most influential and powerful couple in Formula 1 as Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff and then Venturi Racing team boss now CEO, Susie Wolff whom both had to finish their season with p2 in respective championships. The controversial unlapping decision in the last lap costed Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton the title whereas Susie Wolff led Edoardo Mortara to 146 championship points securing second in the Drivers’ World Championship, falling only seven points adrift of winner Nyck de Vries in Formula E.
Susie Wolff a former racer herself got married to Mercedes Team Boss Toto Wolff in 2011. On 2017, the couple had a boy named Jack Wolff. The pair is seen as one of the influential F1 families and had been instrumental in their teams’ successes over the years. Toto wolf celebrated his 50th birthday recently and his partner Susie Wolff has wished her Husband via her Instagram handle.

Susie Wolff posted on her Instagram her wholehearted wish to Toto Wolff saying Toto Wolff is not a fan of birthdays as he prefers to forward not back, she added that his 50th birthday marks a milestone which she expects on the halfway. Susie Wolff went to wish Toto wolf a happy birthday and also thanking him for everything he has been and had done for her.
“Toto is not a fan of birthdays. Prefers to look forward and not back. Says the long game counts, and he is only halfway (that is maybe a bit optimistic now). But today marks a milestone. 49 + 1 years. Happy Birthday, Toto. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do,” Susie Wolff wrote on her Instagram.
Susie Wolff said its not easy as family as they both are professionals with busy schedule but added that they both prioritise family over everything and is proud of What Toto Wolf is doing.
“Of course, it’s not easy, but we have to make it. It is important to establish priorities. We both realize that marriage and family come first. But of course, we are proud of what Toto is doing. And if Jack and I have to get on a plane to see him, we’ll do it,” says Susie Wolff.
Toto Wolff added to his partners words saying Susie Wolff is the system that maintains the Wolff family and said they feel lucky as they both have similar characters and similar tasks in motorsport.
“Susie is the system maintainer of the Wolff family. We are very lucky because we are very similar in characters and tasks. Family comes first, then work. But this common field of interest, motorsport, is what we have always done. That’s why we talk about it at dinner. The mix of both makes it,” Toto Wolf added.
Toto Wolf will be hoping to get the crown which was stolen from them after the controversial decision by Michael Masi in Abu Dhabi with his Drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. Susie Wolff will be hoping to shine in her new role as Venturi Racing team CEO ln Formula E and will be fighting to secure the title she lost in 2020-21 season after her driver finished 2nd only 7 points behind the champion.
