“Takes Out Half of The Field”: Max Verstappen Takes a Dig at Valtteri Bottas

Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas

During the Hungarian Grand Prix, Valtteri Bottas was subjected to a huge mistake which took out a plethora of drivers since the initial lap. That list included Max Verstappen, who surely hasn’t forgotten the incident as he takes a cheeky dig at the Finn driver. The spoken about incident came during a game of Warzone, three players can be heard in the video that ‘thef1guy22’ uploaded on his TikTok account.

The collision caused by Bottas ended in Verstappen just managing to register a point against his name and ultimately gave away his precious lead to rival Lewis Hamilton, who now leads the Driver’s standings as the season heads into its much-required break.

What Was Opinionated by Max Verstappen on Valtteri Bottas?

”Lights out and away we go” and ”Josh Rogers jumps the start” are already references to Formula 1, but still fairly innocent. Then Verstappen comes up with his quote: ”Valtteri Bottas takes out half the field ”. Verstappen himself has to laugh a lot at his joke.

The Red Bull Racing driver of course has a reason for such a joke. On the first lap of the Hungarian GP, Verstappen entered the bend in second place, but was hit out of nowhere by Lando Norris.

Norris himself was hit by Valtteri Bottas, who also knocked out Sergio Perez. So three drivers were eliminated at the start (Bottas, Perez, Norris), thanks to Bottas’ error and Verstappen would finish no higher than 10th on the track (ninth in the results due to Vettel’s disqualification).
