Many predicted Lewis Hamilton vs Max Verstappen would be one of those rivalries which could very well be decided in the racing steward’s room during or after the race. On the same note, an incident occurred when Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton were besides one another on Turn 1 and there was an evident touch among both the drivers which caused the seven-time world champion off the track, while the Dutchman remained within the white lines.
As a result of the doings of both these drivers, Hamilton managed to take the lead away from Verstappen once again. However, there was immense controversy with that occurrence taking place.

Now to those who missed the aftermath of the incident, Verstappen believed Hamilton should give back his spot, while the seven-time World Champion argues his World Championship rival pushed him off the track. Michael Masi has been taken to task, but has decided that no further investigation is necessary. Race control did say that Hamilton had to give back his advantage, his extra lead.
With soft tyres making all the drivers struggle, Hamilton extended his lead since taking the lead. However, Sergio Perez did play the ultimate team game, but as of writing it is reigning champion who has maintained his lead.
