Twitter Reacts As Valtteri Bottas Clinches Pole Position At The Mexican GP Qualifying; Secures First Front Row Lockout For Mercedes This Season

Mexican GP Qualifying saw reigning champion Mercedes resurrect to take their dominating best. While Verstappen, Perez, and Red Bull were considered favourites going into the weekend, it was Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton who had other plans. Both the Red Bull drivers failed to live up to the expectations after all the hype that was created by the passionate fans in Mexico.
Valtteri Bottas was absolutely flying through the middle sectors and remained consistent, all this while keeping his cool. Hamilton too, looked fantastic as both the Mercedes drivers put out a brilliant show of pace in the Mexican GP Qualifying. With this, both the drivers provided Mercedes their first front-row lockup this season as Toto Wolff and Co. look to bolster their chances of winning the Constructors’ Championship for the 8th consecutive time.

After the US Grand Prix 2021 last weekend, the F1 Drivers’ Championship is tight as ever as championship leader Max Verstappen (287.5) and arch-rival Lewis Hamilton (275.5) are separated by just twelve points as we head into the 19th race of the 2021 Formula 1 season. As for the Constructors’ Championships, Mercedes F1 (460.5) leads Red Bull Racing (437.5) by 23 points.
