WATCH: Max Verstappen backs off Carlos Sainz in his usual manner, as the duo go wheel-to-wheel racing in Bahrain

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is known for his aggressive and attacking style of driving. So much so that 7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton has called the Dutchman’s elbow’s-out style of driving to be the most aggressive he has faced to date.

The Bahrain Pre-season test seems to be an ideal testing ground ahead of his title defence for the 2022 Formula One season. But at the moment Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz seems to be having great testing with a P2 on the first day and securing a P1 on the 2nd day of testing.

Verstappen won’t let his aggressive style and uses his method to intimidate his opponents very well. Even if that is not during a race. The Dutchman showed some intimidation to Sainz but it seems the Spaniard has welcomed the challenge from his former teammate.

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz set the fastest lap on Day 2 of pre-season testing in Bahrain. The Spaniard set the fastest time of the day with 1:33:532 on soft tyres, midway through the afternoon session. He completed 60 laps for Ferrari who seem to be having impressive Pre-season testing.

But the 2021 World Champion Max Verstappen didn’t let the Spanish driver leave without giving him some tough love on track. Verstappen was racing Wheel-to-Wheel with 40 minutes to go for the day. The two battled for every inch of the track from turn 1 to turn 5. Verstappen and Sainz were battling with the pair putting on a late-braking display late in the day.

Verstappen eventually set the second-fastest time for the day. With 86 laps and a time of 1:34:011, the Red Bull driver finished P2 on Friday. This just signifies that the final day of testing is going to be eventful as teams scramble for every bit of data ahead of the Season opener Bahrain GP next weekend.
