“I have seen a lot of progress in me since the Bahrain GP,” Carlos Sainz delighted after P3 finish in Jeddah
Carlos Sainz as always put forth a brilliant performance and secured third place in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on the Jeddah race track, the fastest street track under the lights. There was a bit of confusion near the pit wall while the safety car was in place but in no time, he was given back his position by Sergio Perez.
Even since Carlos had been consistent in his performance and did not let Perez pass him and secured his position on the podium. Although it was a close call with Checo, Carlos admitted to being confused with the pit lane line under the pressure but he did get a bit lucky with the safety car rules and does respect Stewart’s decision and said that “the rules are rules and I think I was just ahead with the safety car line” and since then, “it was all about holding onto P3”, said Carlos.
Carlos Sainz found more rhythm in his Ferrari car
He showed immense improvement in the last 10 laps and said that he has now found “more rhythm in the car”. During the post-race interview hosted by David Coutlhard, Carlos said that he has seen a lot of progress in him since the Bahrain Grand Prix and is very happy for the same.
Alongside, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen’s mind-blowing battle for the first place was a sight for sore eyes with Charles Leclerc trying his best on every corner and turn to overtake Max but failed to do so with Max emerging victorious and taking the pole position at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Although Charles took the fastest lap in the race.
Currently, Ferrari has a 40-point advantage on the Constructor’s Championship with the magnificent duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
