George Russell reveals his most ’embarrassing’ moment as an F1 driver involving Valtteri Bottas

George Russell is a British racing driver currently competing in the Formula One Championship for Mercedes for the 2022 season. He formerly drove for Williams Racing. The 23-year-old was asked to name the moments that stick out as the most embarrassing in his F1 career and he admitted the Finn, Valtteri Bottas played a part in it.
George Russell and Valtteri Bottas crashed against each other at Imola GP, when the former gave a reaction which was a bit too over the line. When asked about his most embarrassing moment as an F1 driver, he pointed out to the heated moment at Imola.
“Probably crashing into Valtteri in Imola, 2021,” said Russell. After the crash, Russell raged and said on the team radio, “What the **** was he doing? Honestly, is he a ****** ***** or what?,” Russell said about Bottas.
The fellow Brit has placed himself in the minds and hearts of the fans and pundits with his extraordinary skills during the last three years in this sport.
Williams made the lime light in the 2021 season after being rock bottom for a long period of time with Russell failing to score a single point, following one of the worst point scorings in the history of constructors with neither of the drivers able to finish in top 10 all season.
George Russell’s growth at Williams over the years
George Russell has evidently played a key role in the improvement of Williams over his time with the team. Since Williams hit rock bottom with consecutively contributing bad results very year. Fans and Pundits had lost hopes in William’s performance and its legacy.
But last season, an unexpected turn of events was in the favour of Williams with a significant outlook of Williams scoring 23 points towards the end of the 2021 season. Leading to the eighth position on the Constructors Championship, with their best ever score in the last few years.
Russell played the main role in brining the team from rock bottom with the score of 16 points which also recorded a career high finish for the 23-year-old brit when he was rewarded for his incredible performance in the qualifying at Spa with his first podium due to heavy rain which washed out the race.
Fans and Pundits are excited to see George Russell in black, driving for Mercedes alongside Lewis Hamilton. It will be exciting to see the two drivers fight for the title.
