From two DNF’s to winning the Saudi Arabia GP, the mood at the Red Bull racing garage has turned into exuberant joy. In the breathtaking battle between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, Max emerged victorious as he managed to outpace Charles at the Jeddah Circuit.

With driving on their own pace, a conversation pertaining the way the drivers drove their machinery was underwent. Helmut Marko is being notoriously open and is known to give an opinion regarding the Dutchman, Max Verstappen in his overall performance. He was thrilled to see the cars pushing to their fullest limit, saying “I didn’t believe after last year that there was any improvement possible, but apparently there is.”

Max Verstappen was unable to attack on the medium tyre during his first stint, but was able to do so in the closing stages of the race on the hard tyre. Red Bull, surprisingly, looked to Lewis Hamilton for that strategy. But for a long time, the Mercedes driver stayed on the hard tyre he had started the race on and had planned on-going positions before changing the wheels to medium.

Marko was extremely proud by the performance put forth by the young lad, Max Verstappen and said, “When you have a driver like Max behind the wheel, you can rely on him to make it happen,” when the team chose to deliberately gave in at sector one but remained fast on the straights.    

Looking at Lewis Hamilton performance on hard tires for several laps gave yet another strategy to Red bull. One of the other crucial aspects of winning the strategy was the set-up chosen by the team after free practice, which included smaller wings.
