Each year young and talented drivers get to compete in the prestigious Formula One competition. Top 20 best drivers in the World compete for the Championship with extraordinary skill and mindset. Here drivers are put to test their best of abilities and emerge victorious. Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton are one of those legends who with extraordinary skills won the World Championship seven times, marking history.

Drivers like Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Juan Manuel Fangio and and Jackie Stewart were also of great class, among many others whose name were, have and will be mentioned for generations to come. Newest member to this elite list is Max Verstappen who won the 2021 World Championship title.

“I always find it difficult to say something like that, there have been so many great drivers in Formula 1,” said Max Verstappen when asked about his favorite driver of all time in Formula One. Given the chance to add other sports into the question, Max finds himself in a pickle and says, “Then I feel I have to say even more: no idea.”

Is Lewis Hamilton the best driver of all time in Formula One?

With the quest continuing in naming one of the drivers the best in Formula One, Lewis Hamilton seems to be getting closer due to his contract with Mercedes. The Briton’s contract with the team goes in till the end of the 2023 season, giving the champion last two chances in order to win the World Champion and become to best driver of all time, permanently kicking Michael Schumacher out of the picture with whom Lewis currently shares the record.
