BBC Radio 5 commentator, columnist at F1 app and 2014 GP 2 series champion Joylon Palmer has picked his best driver for 2021 season. Joylon Palmer, the son of former F1 driver and major UK race circuit owner Jonathan Palmer and former Renault F1 team driver for 2016 and 2017 season has a few championship points to showcase.

A controversial decision from race director Michael Masi to allow only the 5 laped cars between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton to unlap before giving fans a one lap race finish. Furious, team Mercedes filed an appeal after Max took the crown, which was later rejected.

Palmer explained why he consider Verstappen was better than his fellow country man Lewis Hamilton, as Lewis made multiple mistakes with huge costs to pay during the season.

This time he did went with his country man as Lewis Hamilton’s performance in Brazilian Grand Prix where he went on to win the race from P20 with an amazing first 24 laps run in which he overtook 15 cars to reach behind Max Verstappen and over coming him for the title in and excellent display of his driving skills.
Palmer choose Mick Schumacher as his rookie of the year as the son of Ferrari Legend Michael Schumacher had an amazing season considering the constraints of his Hass Team car. He also chose Lando Norris, Russian Grand Prix run as the best under dog performance of the year.
