Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, Cristiano Ronaldo
McLaren have one of the most formidable driver lineups on the current grid, in the form of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo. The former brings youthful exuberance and raw talent, whereas, the former Red Bull driver, Daniel Ricciardo brings the much-needed experience to the table. The duo had a successful 2021 F1 season, where they helped McLaren finish fourth in the constructor’s championship, and were the only side to secure a 1-2 podium finish throughout the season.
Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo are thought to get along well, because they share a good sense of humor. The duo were invited to play a game, named, ‘You Have Have To Answer.‘ The two drivers are asked a question, and then given two choices to pick from. Daniel Ricciardo and Norris were on the same wavelength when it came to choosing their favorite team, out of Ferrari and Mercedes. Both drivers chose Mercedes as their favorite brand.
Going further into the game, the duo were asked to choose between the modern footballing greats, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The two drivers gave the same answer once again, as they picked Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo over the Argentinian magician.
Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris choose their favorite driver between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton
Towards the end of the game, Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris were asked to choose between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. Their titanic battle last season has made the Verstappen-Hamilton rivalry etched in the history books. When Norris was asked to make his choice, Daniel Ricciardo was heard shouting his name hilariously in the background.
The young Briton chose Max Verstappen over his countryman, Lewis Hamilton. Daniel Ricciardo gave it a bit more though as compared to his teammate, but again gave the same answer, as he chose Max Verstappen. The Australian drove alongside Max Verstappen for three seasons at Red Bull, before moving to Renault in 2019.
As far as their 2022 F1 season is concerned, McLaren have gotten off to a horrendous start. Out of the first two races in Bahrain and Jeddah, only Lando Norris managed to sneak into the points in Jeddah. McLaren seem to lag behind in terms of their car development, with new regulations coming into effect this season. There is plenty of time for McLaren to get in their upgrades, but it is absolutely vital that both, Norris and Ricciardo are given a car worth competing.
