Monaco GP Result: Max Verstappen wins his second race of the season; climbs to the top of the championship

Max Verstappen claimed his second win of the season, as he finished P1 at the Monaco GP on Sunday. The Dutch driver technically started from the pole position, despite finishing second in the qualifying session. Charles Leclerc who took the pole position, did not take part in the race as a result of gear box damage.
Carlos Sainz finished P2, whereas, Lando Norris finished P3 to seal his second podium finish of the season. The Briton has now reclaimed the third spot in the championship, after Valtteri Bottas had to retire his car due to pit stop mishap. Sergio Perez had an impressive race, as he gained five places on Sunday, and finished P4 to round off a good day for Red Bull.
Lewis Hamilton struggles in Monte Carlo
Lewis Hamilton had a rare off day on Sunday, as he failed to get any sort of grip in Monte Carlo. The 36-year finished seventh, and failed to make up any places. Sebastian Vettel was voted as the Driver of the Day for his incredible drive, as he finished P5 at the Monaco GP. The German claimed the first points of his season.
Pierre Gasly finished sixth, whereas, Lance Stroll also managed to get among the points on Sunday, finishing eighth. Esteban Ocon took the ninth spot, and Antonio Giovinazzi also secured the first points of his season, finishing P10.

Max Verstappen has 105 points to his name so far, and is at the top of the championship currently. Lewis Hamilton moved to the second spot after a lackluster performance on Sunday, and has 101 points to his name.
