“Lando Norris has what it takes to be a World Champion,” says Nico Rosberg
Lando Norris
Lando Norris has been of the best performers so far this season, having secured points in all of his seven races so far. The Briton sits on the fourth place in the drivers championship, having secured 76 points so far this season.
Nico Rosberg, 2016 F1 champion believes that Lando Norris has the ability to become a world champion in the future, and he is proving his worth this season.
Lando Norris has outraced his teammate, Daniel Ricciardo this season, and is one of the most consistent drivers on the grid. “Lando is in absolutely astonishing form, he’s driving so well. Of course, coming off the high as well of getting a new contract, a new multi-year deal, so he’s really impressive, a great British hope for the future,” said Rosberg.
“Absolutely Lando has what it takes to be a World Champion. He’s proving it this year more than ever up against Daniel, who’s a phenomenal driver. The way he has been dominating him this year has been really impressive,” he added.
Daniel Ricciardo has been struggling: Nico Rosberg
Nico Rosberg believes that Daniel Ricciardo has been struggling this season, and will be shocked to see Lando Norris’ consistency so far. Rosberg believes that Ricciardo has not been consistent, and has failed to keep the momentum going.
“Daniel has been struggling a lot – last weekend he got a bit closer but he’s still not at his best yet, still having to get used to the car,” said Rosberg.
“It’s a very unusual situation for Daniel because he’s been really dominant in his team in all the last years, but he’s just struggling to get to grips with the car. It’s so horrible when sometimes you just don’t feel the car under you in the way you like, so you just don’t have the confidence,” he added.
