Saudi Arabian GP 2022: Three winners from the second race of the season

Saudi Arabian GP 2022 podium

The Saudi Arabian GP has successfully kept the momentum of the 2022 season after a fantastic Bahrain GP, which we saw a weekend before. The race saw Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc battle it out for the P1, with the former and the reigning champion coming out on top.
Apart from that, the race saw multiple DNFs and ended with only 13 drivers seeing the chequered flag. We also saw multiple crashes during the 50-lap battle and intense battles on the track and in the strategy rooms. Here are the top three winners:

The Dutch driver started the race at P4 and emerged as its winner after overtaking Charles Leclerc on the 47th lap of the race. Max Verstappen, just like Bahrain, had a continuous tussle with the Ferrari driver for P1. Both of them pitted only once, that too under the safety car, and race till the final corner. The three jump place and eventually becoming the winner puts Max on this list.

The British driver has finally bagged first points of the 2022 season for the McLaren team, as he finished 7th after having started 11th. Lando Norris adapted well and took advantage of the situation where we saw many DNF. He kept his calm and drove well, making his way up on the grid. He finished just one-tenth behind the sixth-placed Esteban Ocon, which goes on to show how much development Norris had made in the latter stages of the race.

The Alpine driver, Esteban Ocon, started 6th and finished 6th. But for the driver, this didn’t come easy. He was engaged in an intense battle with his teammate Fernando Alonso for the 6th position. And after Alonso captured the spot, the French driver was asked to hold on to his 7th place as Valtteri Bottas was charging up. However, Ocon lost that place as well. But in the end, as Valtteri and Alonso’s cars lost their power, it was Ocon who had the last laugh.
