Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel congratulates Lewis Hamilton for his 100th Formula One victory

Lewis Hamilton shattered all records at Russian GP on Sunday, as he came home to claim his 100th F1 victory. The race in Sochi was full of drama, as the final few laps were interrupted by heavy rainfall. Lewis Hamilton had endured a poor start to the race, as he fell from P4 to P6 at the start of the race.

However, he regained a few spots and found himself behind Lando Norris on P2. Norris defended pretty well and it seemed that he was heading for his maiden F1 victory. However, his decision to not come into the pit stops, and continue with the dry tyres cost him the win, as he finished P7.

Eventually, Lewis Hamilton claimed the P1 position to achieve a historic landmark. Fans and celebrities all around the world congratulated the 36-year-old for his astonishing achievement. Popular Hollywood superstar, Vin Diesel took to Instagram to congratulate his friend, Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton claimed his fifth F1 victory of the season, with his win in Sochi. His 99th victory came at his home Grand Prix in Silverstone back in July. Hence, it was a long wait for Hamilton to claim his 100th victory.

Vin Diesel posted a congratulatory message on Instagram, praising the British driver for his incredible feat. “Faith and hard work pays off! Proud of you lil bro..,” Vin Diesel wrote on Instagram.

Lewis Hamilton replied to the kind gesture from Vin Diesel and expressed his gratitude for the same. “Amen brother! Thank you fam,” wrote Hamilton.

With his victory in Sochi, Lewis Hamilton reclaimed the top spot in the drivers’ championships, surpassing his rival, Max Verstappen. Next up is the Turkish GP, which will be held next week.
