Fortnite Preferred Item Slots
The Preferred Item Slot is a pretty much old concept that has remained a dream of many Fortnite gamers for a long time. The idea of the preferred slots is easy to understand and is simple, it involves a system where players could automatically assign specific items to their chosen inventory position. Players tend to follow their own formula when building their loadout.
This idea will be especially handy for chaotic off-spawn fights and quickly grabbing a refresh in a competitive endgame. We’ve all been there, you finally win a long, drawn-out engagement, third-party jumps in as you’re looting and you spin round for a Shotgun flick just to see a bandage sitting in your hand. The “Preferred Item Slot” management system had gone live in-game following the Fortnite 17.20 update on July 20, 2021.
Although it doesn’t seem like you need loot and grabs items in a firefight, you’ll often need to loot weapons from enemies as soon as you take them out in the last circles. Grabbing stronger weapons from enemies can be a great strategy, letting you snowball in resources that’ll make you more dangerous than the other players. In general, players will have some great loot in the last circles.
Players can finally prioritize weapons and items according to their personal inventory. There may also be an option to assign different items to the same slot, and the inventory adjusts on the fly depending on what you pick up. The new inventory management system will not only improve the quality of gameplay for players but also introduce players to a new era of gameplay mechanics.
