A brand new Fortnite X Walking Dead Collaboration has been teased by EPIC Games soon after its start in Fortnitemares 2021 that will last a whole month to celebrate the onset of Halloween. According to many data miners and netizens, one of the Fortune Cards Fortnite had teased for its event sports imagery strongly indicates that ‘The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes’ is coming to Fortnite. The grand event of Fortnitemares 2021 celebrations has already begun yesterday and will run until November 1, 2021, lasting almost a whole month for players to grab some new stuff like skins and more. One of the additions in this series has already been released and three more are on their way. A card to the right of Frankenstein’s Monster that has been released shows Rick’s trademark hat from the series, thus pointing towards its release anytime soon.

This tease follows a leak earlier this year that suggested Epic had been working on a new Walking Dead collaboration with AMC, though we didn’t know then which character it may be if anyone. Daryl and Michonne had come to the game last year, the most likely candidates would be Rick, and his nemesis Negan but Rick has all but been confirmed. The series which Rick hails from, The Walking Dead AMC series is finally ending with its current Season 11.

The current season of The Walking Dead is the final one for AMC. Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln left the series in 2018 but will reprise the role in a trilogy of films. Given the character’s long history with the franchise, it makes perfect sense that he’ll be coming to Fortnite. This news has not been confirmed, so players have to wait for the event.
