The Austrian team Principal has further indicated that Tsunoda is always the first to admit when he falls short somewhere. For example, in his rookie season, he spoke openly about the areas of improvement in his attitude, which has improved rapidly since his move from Japan to Italy, near the AlphaTauri factory.

The AplhaTauri team Principal is very pleased with Tsunoda’s progress and the positive change in attitude that the Japanese driver has shown and is hopeful that he will have a strong season for the team this year.

Tost has shown confidence in Tsunoda ahead of the upcoming Imola Grand Prix and has also indicated that Yuki’s improvement in fitness has helped him in keeping up with his teammate Pierre Gasly.

While talking about Yuki’s progression Tost said, “First of all, Yuki was not as bad in physical condition as he thinks.”

According to Tost, every driver thinks he is not fit enough, after which he logically has to step up his physical training. “Yuki may have underestimated some training sessions which he should have done, but he did it and then he improved a lot,” says the Austrian.
