A new Free Fire Racer Top up event has been released today which offers two legendary McLaren-themed backpack skin and a futuristic car skin. Here in this article, we will discuss how to get those skins for free in the latest event.
Free Fire, launched by Garena in 2017, has a wide array of collectables of cosmetics such as bundles, pets, car skins and more. The developers keep adding new items via their events. Most of the events need diamonds to participate and unlock or claim the skins available in the event. Diamonds are not available for free and they are to be purchased with real money.
The developers had introduced a new top up event today and the event offers players free legendary skins for recharging diamonds in the game. Let us look at those skins and how you can get them for free.
Free Fire Racer top up event
The new Free Fire Racer Top up event has commenced today i.e., on September 2nd 2021. The events will run for 6 days straight and end on September 8 2021. The event features skins of the McLaren brand, which collaborated with the game in May. The collaboration has resulted in several items whose theme is based on the crossover. A new top up event has brought in a car skin and a backpack skin. The event starting and ending dates are as follows:
Starting date: September 2nd 2021
Ending Date: Septmeber 8 2021

Players can get those skins for free but they do have to buy some diamonds in their account. To get those skins, players will have to buy a specific number of diamonds that are set up on the skin during the event run time. The top up requirements to avail the skins are:
McLaren – FF Cyber Neon – able to claim after 200 diamonds top up
Max Throttle Backpack skin – able to claim after 500 diamonds top up
The skins don’t need to be bought but are to be unlocked via purchasing diamonds. You can unlock by purchasing diamonds, and use them for other purposes. The skins are obtained only after you have bought the required number of diamonds.
How to access the event?
Follow the given steps below to access the event
Step 1: Open Garena Free Fire on your device. Once you are in the main lobby, click on the ‘Calendar’ icon present on the right side of the screen.
Step 2: Under all sections, tap on the ‘Racer Top up’ event section to proceed.
Step 3: After recharging the required amount of diamonds in your account, you will be shown the ‘claim’ which is now greyed out. Upon a successful diamond top-up, you will be able to avail the skins.
