Gervonta Davis is among the premier knockout artists in the sport of boxing. Davis recently did an interview ahead of the upcoming fight against Frank Martin, talking about knocking out an opponent in a boxing ring. ‘Tank’ said something interesting about the skill he has mastered in boxing.

The regular person is not usually aware of what it feels like to knock out an opponent clean in the chin. Gervonta Davis described this in his recent interview with Premiere Boxing. ‘Tank’ believed the feeling remains better than engaging in se*ual activities.

It feels good. Especially when you land on that button, it feels amazing. Better than sex. For sure.

Davis is one of those talented lightweights who can execute a devastating knockout at will. This could be seen in his 93.1% knockout rate and 27 career knockouts in 29 fights. At lower weight classes, someone with special knockout ability remains scarce. Due to his undefeated status and elite talent, many consider him the ‘face of boxing‘ opposite Canelo Alvarez.

‘Tank’s most recent TKO came against rival Ryan Garcia last year. The WBA champion delivered a brutal body shot in the seventh round, enough to put Garica down. Tank gave Garcia his first career loss, ending the long-standing dispute about who was the better-undefeated boxer among the rising talents. He will now look forward to his 28th knockout in the upcoming fight against Frank Martin.

Can Frank Martin upset Gervonta Davis?

This weekend, fans will see another pair of undefeated boxers clash inside the ring. Frank Martin will take on Gervonta Davis this June at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Davis will defend his WBA lightweight world title against the unbeaten top contender, which means this is a significant matchup for the division.

‘Tank’ is a powerful knockout artist whose one single shot is enough to end the fight. However, he could face problems if a boxer could dance him around in the earlier rounds and outbox him till the final round. This would be difficult, but Martin did it in his last fight against Artem Harutyunyan. ‘The Ghost’ won the fight by unanimous decision.

Martin is undefeated, with 18 professional fights under his belt. ‘The Ghost’ is not devoid of knockouts with 12 KOs to his name. Davis has not fought since April of last year. As such, any ring rust will potentially favor Martin. However, Martin must bring his A-game to upset the odds and hand Davis his first career loss.
