Since leading the Bucks to an NBA title in 2021, success has been harder to come by for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Injuries have taken their toll, and the Bucks faced a disappointing early exit in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, falling to the Indiana Pacers.
He was able to return from his injury layoff to become his adopted nation’s flag bearer as well as help them advance to the quarterfinals, where they were eventually eliminated by Germany. His quarterfinal game was the best of the tournament as he scored 22 points and contributed two rebounds and three assists, thus leading his team in scoring.
