Rashad McCants said Lamar Odom is on the same level as Anthony Davis
On an episode of the podcast, ‘Gil’s Arena’, former player Rashad McCants gave a hot take that did not sit well with Arenas. According to McCants, Odom’s performance was on the same level as the Lakers’ forward Anthony Davis. The forward is currently two of the best players on the Lakers’ roster.
McCants believed that Davis would have had a similar performance to Odom if he played in the 2000s. Arenas completely disagreed with McCants’ take and claimed that Odom was not even on the same par as Kevin Love. Arenas also reflected on Odom’s zero All-Star appearances to back up his claim.

Even after Arenas talked about stats, McCants did not budge from his claim. The former athlete believes that Odom was an elite bench player, and he is not entirely wrong. The Lakers forward won two championships despite not getting selected as an All-Star and played his role well in the roster.
