9/11 survivors PLEAD a meeting with LIV Golf pros to educate them on “DEATH GOLF”
Phil Mickelson and LIV Golf please to by 9/11 survivors IMAGO
LIV Golf Circuit in a not-so-shocking scenario is caught in a pleading affair, right before the finals in Miami. The multi-million dollar series is backed by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund and has often been called out for that particular association. The human rights concern after the journalist’s murder had nearly driven LIV out of business.
History repeats yet again with 9/11 victims wanting to see the LIV Golf pros, for their conjectural and often objectionable association. Even though LIV Golf’s management and CEO Greg Norman have tried to overhaul the Golf series’ besmirched images, there seems to be an aversion among groups with Saudi blood money associations.
The LIV Golf inaugural season has promised massive prize money of £44 million up for grabs, while already having distributed £154 million in the seven events that preceded. No matter how lucrative it is to be associated with the LIV series, it definitely comes with its own set of problems.
LIV Golf pros to be educated on the ‘Death Golf’ allegations
The ‘sportwashing’ scheme by Saudi Arabia has been trying to improve its image by participating in the golf pro and mending its reputation. The 9/11 victims’ family members have written out to the pros. “Just give us 20 minutes to hear our stories and educate you on the government that is paying you obscene amounts of money to play golf.”
It is kind of already clear what the agenda behind the meeting is. When asked about Saudi Arabia’s atrocities and involvement in 9/11 and assisting the Saudi’s sportwashing scheme, some golfers stated “they are just trying to provide for their families,” said Danny’s brother who unfortunately lost his life. “Our brother Danny and 2,976 others were just trying to provide for their families as well that day.”
The LIV Golf has already led out a statement talking about the pleas and their take on the whole scenario. “We just wish they would help us, Use it as a force for accountability and justice,” they said addressing the protests. They spoke about the families lamenting, “As we have said all along, these families have our deepest sympathy.”
