Bryson DeChambeau fervently expressed his hope that people would finally “see the light” and recognize the innovative and refreshing approach that LIV Golf aimed to bring to the sport. As reported by Sports Illustrated, he emphasized, “We’re trying to provide golf something new and fresh,” highlighting the need for unity between the established and emerging players in the best interest of the game. With conviction, DeChambeau declared, “It’s for the good of the game.”

According to the Guardian, DeChambeau’s remarks came in the aftermath of a final-round 70, which placed him six shots behind Koepka’s remarkable victory. It is noteworthy to mention that the golfer encountered a less-than-warm reception from fans at the event.

Both he and his partner, Brooks Koepka, faced boos from the PGA Tour audience at Oak Hill. Nevertheless, the duo remained focused and displayed unwavering determination, delivering impressive performances that defied any distractions posed by the crowd.

Beyond the achievements of Koepka and DeChambeau, the PGA Championship showcased the remarkable talents of several other LIV players. British Open champion Cameron Smith, Mito Pereira, and Patrick Reed all achieved positive results, securing spots in the top 22 of the major championship. DeChambeau expressed his admiration for his fellow LIV golfers’ performances and expressed his optimism for an even brighter future.

Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka, the crowned PGA Championship winner, also acknowledged the positive impact of LIV Golf’s strong presence at the major. While he acknowledged the significance of such results for LIV Golf, Koepka remained focused on his personal achievements, highlighting the individual nature of his competition at the PGA Championship.
