Cameron Smith is the poster boy for LIV Golf. LIV officials paraded him and his signing as one of the colossal moments in their short history. LIV believes that their affiliation with Cameron had an extremely positive effect on other players and helped the new Saudi-PIF-backed golf circuit to really get into its stride.

However, it looks like Cameron’s affiliation with the controversial golf circuit might have come with some repercussions for the superstar. According to discussions on the No Laying Up podcast, Cameron allegedly was ignored and “blackballed” by several golf clubs due to his allegiance to LIV Golf.

Cameron Smith was one of the younger superstars who signed for LIV at a moment when it was branded as a getaway golf circuit for the aged players or those who are in their twilight years. Well, a line of superstars in the form of Bryson Dechambeau, and Dustin Johnson would definitely disagree.

LIV practically has a financial might of a whole nation which is certainly evident from the fact that several stars including Smith received a $100 million fee just for joining the controversial LIV Golf Circuit which is trying to establish itself in the golf scene worldwide and kind of disturb the PGA’s monopoly.

Looks like PGA has gone too far with this petty behavior. According to NLU’s Carter“they’ve called around to every single one of these places and had him blackballed. And it’s like, that’s kinda f***ed up. I don’t really think Cam really did anything egregious on his way out their door”. I guess we just have one thing to say – “GROW UP PGA TOUR”.

It’s high time now and to be honest PGA Tour should just accept LIV Golf’s existence and move on instead of engaging themselves in such kindergarten activities. LIV successfully completed its first season amidst all the controversies and is all set to return next season even more big and massive.
