“Take the money now”: Donald Trump urges golfers to join LIV Golf before ‘inevitable’ fate amidst rising pressure
Donald Trump, LIV Golf
The recently inaugurated LIV Golf Series is now up for its third round of the season amidst quite the controversy that it has caused. The series will head to its next event at Trump National Golf Bedminster, New Jersey, from 29th to 31st July this year. Donald Trump, a big advocate of golf, will have the LIV Series on his course twice this year- and he is all for it.
“All of those golfers that remain ‘loyal’ to the very disloyal PGA, in all of its different forms, will pay a big price when the inevitable MERGER with LIV comes, and you get nothing but a big ‘thank you’ from PGA officials who are making Millions of Dollars a year,” Trump said according to CNN. He told the golfers that they should join the LIV Series and ‘take the money now’.

“If you don’t take the money now, you will get nothing after the merger takes place, and only say how smart the original signees were,” said Trump. This has angered the families of victims and survivors of the 9/11 attacks, which left the world devastated.
The group of survivors and those who lost their loved ones in the attack protested at a nearby park to speak out against the Saudi funded tour. “We want the golfers to know who they’re getting in bed with, who they’re doing business with,” Eagleson, who lost his father, said to ESPN. “Any golfer that chooses to go play for the LIV tournament should have to listen to the family members and look us in the eye, and explain to us why they’re taking the Saudi money.” The protestors are looking to educated the golfers on the role of the Saudis in 9/11.
