‘Marvel action scenes are easier than Golf’- Ant-Man diva Kathryn Newton HAPPY to have chosen acting as she takes a swing at Golf

Kathryn Newton, the American actress would’ve thought that she cracked the tough job of being an actor, and definitely acting is not easier to do with all the memorization of scripts and lines. Kathryn is known for her glorious roles as Louise Brooks in the CBS comedy series Gary Unmarried, Abigail Carlson in the HBO mystery drama series Big Little Lies.
However, little did she know that a much tougher task than acting awaited her in the form of golf. Growing up near a golf course in Florida, Newton had a knack for playing golf which led her to be quite a distinct player on the high school team. Continuing on that, Kathryn was all geared up for competing in a U.S. Women’s Open Qualifier.
But as fate would have it, Kathryn’s acting career took off when she landed the lead for “Paranormal Activity” in its 4th season. This led to her putting her golf clubs aside and chasing her ‘Hollywood Dream’.

Kathryn Newton eyes making birdies and putt for a change
Kathryn Newton really hit it off the block with her role as Cassie Lang, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Antman with Paul Rudd in the lead. Her next movie in the marvel series – “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” is all padded up to release in February. Although Kathryn says that she would definitely prefer a Major over the Oscars if she’s ever in contention for it.
Although her love for the sport hasn’t declined much as she was spotted hitting balls at the Old Course at St. Andrews, warming her skill up to take part in the pro-am before heading on to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championships. In an interview with CNN’s The Jazzy Golfer, Newton said – “Acting’s way easier than golf. I (don’t) say that lightly because I have respect for my acting and my fellow actors. When I see the pros out here today, I feel like they’re magicians or something.”
Once hitting a par under 70, Kathryn Newton playing regularly used to score in the 70s often. However, she says – “I’m pretty blown away by the pros and I think I’m going to stick to acting.” Could she have done more in golf? This would be a question that’ll probably remain unanswered.
