According to the Washington Post, Norman has claimed that he is still receiving several calls from players to join the league. The LIV Golf sends out invitations to players to appear for them. “Just continue on the pathway we are right now. I’m getting calls today about other players wanting to come. Been getting a lot of interest from that myself, personally,” Norman said.

PGA Tour and LIV Golf can stand together claims Greg Norman

Ever since the LIV Golf came into existence, they were bashed by people. The Saudi-funded tour has several different aspects of the game compared to traditional golf. They were accused of trying to change the game of golf. Greg Norman himself received several abuse but has stood his ground. He has now claimed that the two tours can stand together shoulder to shoulder instead of fighting each other.

He stated how the hurdles and challenges have been removed since the agreement came together. “We want to stand shoulder to shoulder. We want to be supportive of the golfing ecosystem,” Norman said before adding how their platform is different from the one of the PGA. “Is there room for us? One hundred percent, and they’re realizing that now,” he further added.

While Norman might have claimed that LIV is here to stay, his own future is uncertain. During the hearing of the US Senate regarding the merger, PGA Tour officials claimed that Norman would be out if a deal goes through. The final agreement has not been reached yet and Norman’s exclusion from the original meeting indicates that he might be the one to be axed.

The new entity of golf will be called “NewCo” as per the information from the agreement. Current PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan and PIF governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan are said to lead this new entity. Will Norman still have a position next year will be interesting to see?
