Harrington played part time for both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. “This is very exciting, obviously a huge honor,” Harrington said. “It’s somewhat humbling. At this stage of my life, it gives me some validation to what I’ve done in golf. Brings back a flood of memories. This is a deep-down satisfaction, and I’m very proud to be included with the players before me,” said Harrington.

Tom Weiskopf is a 16 time winner on the PGA Tour. His most famous victory was at the 1973 Open Championship, where he beat two of the best golfers at that time, Neil Coles and Jonny Miller. Weiskopf passed away in August 2022, and will be posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Sandra Palmer on the other hand, has done more than her share in the LPGA Championship. The now 79-year-old won 2 Majors in her career, and even took the LPGA Player of the Year honors in 1975. Palmer has a total of 28 pro victories in golf, of which 2 were in Japan. This was the sixth time that she was nominated, and now she has been selected.

“I’m overcome with emotion and very grateful,” Palmer said. “It gives me an opportunity to thank the people that have helped me along the way. I just couldn’t believe it when I got the call, this is my sixth time to be nominated. What an incredible group of women that I played with over the years.”

Celebrations are in order for all those who will be inducted into the hall of Fame in 2024. Not everybody could make the Class of 2024, but for those who did, it is a big achievement. “Everybody on the ballot deserves to be there. It’s unfortunate that everyone can’t be in, but it’s great to be included in the Class of 2024,” said Harrington.
