LIV’s future has always been a subject of discussion whenever its name pops up anywhere. The Saudi-PIF-backed golf circuit is involved in a constant tussle with the PGA Tour as it is looking to develop itself into a premier golfing body with better prize money and incentives structure as compared to the more conventional PGA Tour.

One of LIV’s most celebrated golfers who jumped ship from the PGA Tour – Phil Mickelson believes that LIV still has a long way to go although he trusts that LIV will make it to the end and will be successful in establishing itself into a new pole for the golfing world.

Phil Mickelson is not quite sure how things will pan out for the rebel golf series but is quite certain that it has the legs to the distance. Mickelson says – “I think there’s a lot of possibilities and I’m not sure how it’ll play out,” he explained. “I just know that in the next, over the course of the next year, a lot of stuff is going to happen, and things will kind of iron themselves out.”

Phil was recently under some scrutiny for his comments about Saudi Arabia’s exploitation of human rights. Mickelson backs LIV Golf to bring in reforms as he says – “this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reshape how the PGA Tour operates.” Looks like LIV has an ardent supporter in the form of a multiple major championship winner.

Nicknamed “lefty” – Mickelson was involved in an ugly scenario and was caught up pretty badly in this whole LIV vs PGA fiasco. However, Mickelson now looks okay with his allegiance to LIV Golf and has recently been pretty vocal about it. As controversies keep on emerging around LIV Golf, the fans surely are waiting for the mouth-watering season finale in Miami.
