Tiger Woods is arguably one of the greatest golfers of all time. His achievements and accomplishments speak volumes for themselves. However, like many athletes, his personal life has also been filled with controversy. His life has also seen various partners come and go. One of them was Rachel Uchitel who later claimed being in a relationship with Woods was like living with “low self esteem.”
Woods was married to Elin Nordegren when rumors about extra-martial affairs became to surface. The couple had been parents to two children. In November 2009, talks of him having a relationship with Uchitel started to speak up. Following intense backlash from the media, Woods would undergo a personal therapy session.
The rumors reached new heights when Woods announced their divorce from his wife in August 2010. Taking a look back at her “romance” with Woods, Uchitel claimed she showed signs of “love addiction.” She later admitted how getting the attention from Woods’ name got her wrapped up. Uchitel started to have doubts about her as being in a relationship with the golf great made her suffer from “low self esteem.”
As per the US Weekly, Uchitel recalled Woods calling her a “love addict“. “He said, ‘You are a love addict.’ And I was like, ‘That is a joke,” she mentioned. She added that she will not be going into rehab for treatment like other people.
Rachel Uchitel claims signing NDA with Tiger Woods ruined her life
Recently Tiger Woods came under tremendous heat as his former girlfriend Erica Herman filed a lawsuit against him. She had claimed that Woods forced her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Reacting to this development, Rachel Uchitel admitted that she too was forced to sign an NDA, a decision which later ruined her life.
She explained how getting into a relationship with celebrities comes with a price. They are exposed to the other side of celebs which is better than private. As per Uchitel, to keep this secret safe they are forced to sign an NDA. “I signed an NDA to cover up bad behaviour,” she said before adding how it ruined her life. “There was an abusive nature in getting me to sign that NDA,” Uchitel recalled.
Uchitel’s life has been filled with tragedy. After losing her father at a young age through a drug overdose, she lost her fiancee in the horrific 9/11 attacks. A short-lived marriage soon followed for her. She was reported to have Woods through MLB great Derek Jeter. She is now working on a podcast Miss Understood, where she explains the highs and lows of being the media’s center of attention.
