Amateur golf player Scott Stallings got the best Christmas surprise after receiving an invitation to the 2023 Masters Tournament. The invitation was meant to reach the doorsteps of PGA Tour pro-Scott Stallings, instead, it knocked on the wrong address.
The 37-year-old professional golfer said he got a random message on his Instagram page where the other Scott Stallings noted the mishap. It was truly kind of him to let the pro know about the invitation letter being with him.
Though some people noted that it would be interesting to see how far the situation could’ve gotten with the wrong invitee. Nevertheless, no such things happened. His honest confession saved the PGA Tour player from checking his mailbox multiple times a day.

The amateur player who lives in Georgia noted to the pro golfer, “Hi Scott”. “My name is Scott Stallings as well and I’m from [Georgia]. My wife’s name is Jennifer too! … I received a FedEx today from the Masters inviting me to play in the Masters Tournament April 6-9, 2023.”
“I’m [100%] sure this is NOT for me. I play but wow! [Nowhere] near your level.” “It’s a very nice package complete with everything needed to attend,” the man wrote. “I think we have some confusion because of our names, our wife’s names and geographical location.”
Pro golfer Scott noted that though he has been checking his mailbox 5 times a day, he believed that his missing invitation letter was just an elaborate prank from his wife. On Monday he said, “Honestly, I thought my wife had it and was doing something for Christmas”.
“But then nothing came, and we left two days after Christmas. I didn’t even think about.” For the man’s honesty, Scott decided to give him offer him practice round tickets and later catch dinner with the amateur golfer.
Scott won his 2023 Master’s tickets after qualifying for the Tour Championship in 2022 and is also a 3-time PGA Tour winner. The latest win he got was the 2014 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Another weird coincidence in this frenzy situation was the name of both their wives. Scott has been married Jennifer White in 2007, while the other Scott’s wife also shared the same name.
