Sergio Garcia fires back at Tiger Woods for ‘Greg Norman has to go’ comment

Sergio Garcia isn’t having any of the respect and supremacy that Tiger Woods command in the world of golf. Woods’ latest interview made a lot of heads turn when he said Liv and PGA can co-exist but Greg Norman has to go.

However, not everyone is taking his viewpoint to heart, and he’s facing backlash, especially from those associated with Liv Golf.

In a similar attempt, Tiger’s former sparring partner – Sergio Garcia has come out in support of LIV Golf and its CEO Greg Norman, questioning Tiger’s authority over the breakaway Saudi-PIF-backed golf circuit. Looks like there are some ties severed between Tiger and Gracia.

Sergio Garcia was one of the high-profile names that had jumped ship from the PGA Tour to join the cash-rich and lucrative LIV Golf Circuit. Garcia in an interview with the Spanish outlet Marca suggested that the PGA Tour should look under its own hood and mind its own business.

Sergio Garcia has had enough of Tiger Woods and the PGA Tour

Garcia talking about Tiger Woods’ press conference said, “They say that Greg Norman has to go, and Monahan has to stay or go? It’s very easy to say those on the other side have to go. And those on your side? There are also people who have done things wrong”. Garcia surely has some points for the world to ponder before taking sides.

Sergio Garcia made sure that he expressed his support for his employer – LIV Golf, and CEO Greg Norman in particular. He stated – “Greg Norman is our CEO and we support him. We all wish we could come to an agreement. There are people who could have done wrong in both places, but it seems that there are only bad guys on one side.”

Earlier also Garcia didn’t shy away in garnering his support towards LIV Golf in its pending lawsuit against the PGA Tour. He called Norman – “Sharky”, referring to Greg’s nickname, “Great White Shark“. Greg Norman was highly influential in convincing Sergio to join the rival golf circuit earlier in the year.
