Following a few surgeries and a year-long hiatus, Tiger Woods returned to the field ever-confident in 2022. However, his performances were not as satisfactory as he would himself remark. He was left weak and disjointed after the accident, and it took him quite a while to return to his usual form.

During these hard times, Woods had forged a special relationship with his son, Charlie Woods. Charlie Woods, 13, is also an aspiring golfer like his father. He is consistent in his performances in the junior golf circuits, which draws much likeness to his father. Despite developing plantar fasciitis (heel injury) ahead of the Hero World Challenge, Woods still participated with his son at the PNC Championship.

He says about his new life after the accident and his role as a father, “The days of me going out there practising hours upon hours, day after day, has changed. Life changes, life evolves, and there are two more important things in my life than golf.”

Tiger Woods is quite optimistic about his recovery. He looks back at some of the abilities he would like to gain back post his recovery. In quite confidence, Woods remarks, “I’d like to be able to hit all nine basic golf shots but harmoniously go from shot to shot and always keep a good balance of hitting all shots at all times, it’s trying to get everything kind of imbalanced in equilibrium because I’m able to hit any of those shots and also all those little nuances at a time in a tournament.”
