The LIV Golf Series has not failed to cause controversy in the last few months. The Saudi backed series caused the most controversy for offering large sums of money to golfers to make the switch from the PGA Tour to the new series. This has however also caused quite a bit of backlash from fans, who disapprove of it.
The LIV Golf Series has introduced a new, fresh style of golf- one with many changes. They have introduced a new 54 hole format, shorts on course and even a team style play. Yet, they have gone old fashioned and grand with the way they spend their money- with insane prize amounts.
The prize money for several of the events has been jaw dropping to say the least, with most winners walking away with millions of dollars in their pockets- not just from individual events, but also from the team events that they have introduced. Recently, the players winnings till date were calculated, and it left a lot of people in shock.
Dustin Johnson has earned almost $10 million from LIV Golf

The amount of money earned by the golfers of the LIV Series is rather unimaginable. Dustin Johnson leads the pack, with a whopping prize amount of $9.99 million from four events. Of that large sum, $4.75 million was won in just the fourth event of the season in Boston.
Johnson took a dramatic win at the Boston event after an intense playoff, and he is certainly loving the environment at LIV Golf. Next on the list is Branden Grace, with an impressive $7.14 million prize earnings. Rounding off the top 3 is Charles Schwartzel, who took away $5.63 million in just four events. Regardless, all LIV Winners are walking away with a fat wad of cash to keep them happy.
