The recently inaugurated LIV Golf Series is now up for its third round of the season amidst quite the controversy that it has caused. The series will head to its next event at Trump National Golf Bedminster, New Jersey, from 29th to 31st July this year. Donald Trump, a big advocate of golf, will have the LIV Series on his course twice this year- and he is all for it.

Trump is all set to play at the Pro Am LIV Series event with Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson in the third event of the series. “All of those golfers that remain ‘loyal’ to the very disloyal PGA, in all of its different forms, will pay a big price when the inevitable MERGER with LIV comes, and you get nothing but a big ‘thank you’ from PGA officials who are making Millions of Dollars a year,” Trump said according to CNN.

The former US President and his son Eric will both be seen at the event along with 48 other players who will compete in the tournament. The LIV Series also recently announced its 2023 Schedule, which is looking at 14 events- including several all over the world. Along with Trump, Charles Barkley will also be teeing off at the Pro Am Tournament. Trump teed off at the event, and here is a short clip of his swing.

“If you don’t take the money now, you will get nothing after the merger takes place, and only say how smart the original signees were,” said Trump. He told the golfers that they should join the LIV Series and ‘take the money now’. Needless to say, he is receiving much backlash for his decisions.
