Wyndham Clark PRAISES Rory McIlroy as ‘one of the greatest of all time’ while declaring wish ‘to defeat him’ at 2023 Ryder Cup event

A successful professional golfing career, especially one that includes a major tournament win, typically denotes having superior talent and confidence versus others who lack it. It’s critical that you put up a solid performance each week if you want to be able to compete with elite athletes. Potentially, Wyndham Clark, the reigning US Open champion, may have a chance to go up against Rory McIlroy in a contest.

Since McIlroy and Clark’s faceoff in the June competition sparks between the two pros have often been seen on the internet. There’s been misunderstanding, and back-to-back firing on social media where Clark received backlash for his comments against the Former World No.1. With Ryder Cup eve drawing near, Clark once again challenged McIlroy stating he’s better than him.

During a recent Golf Channel interview, Clark expressed his eagerness to compete against Jon Rahm and Viktor Hovland. He added one more name to the list, which has once again stormed the internet, Rory McIlroy. He stated that he admires McIlroy a lot, “He is a great representative of our sport.” He further went on to add that the Former World No.1 “is one of the greatest of all time” and he wishes “to defeat him.” He challenged McIlroy by saying, “I’m better than him“.

Clark wants to play against McIlroy. He thinks it would be a lot of fun for the fans as well. People who hit the ball far. They have games that are alike in that way. It would be like a small person going up against a big person. He wants to have that opportunity. No matter who he faces, he is very excited. “But that one would be very enjoyable.”

Although Clark showed no fear in that situation, a Norwegian and a Spaniard will do if he is unable to face the Northern Irishman.
