This Saturday at UFC 315, something similar happened with Bruno Silva, which shocked the MMA community completely and instantly.

In the early prelims of UFC 315, Bruno Silva went against Marc-Andre Barriault, and the bout ended in just 87 seconds. Barriault landed vicious elbows during a clinch exchange, rendering Silva unconscious and leaving him motionless on the canvas before medics arrived. Silva had to be stretchered out of the octagon, creating a chilling scene that left the entire arena in concern. 

In a viral video, a slow-motion camera captured Silva getting a small dent on his head after getting hit by Barriault. He was taken to a hospital for further examination, raising concerns about the long-term effects of his latest knockout loss. 

Before UFC 315, Silva publicly discussed his mental health struggles and his emotional return to competition after leaving the UFC previously. With help from Alex Pereira, Silva sought psychiatric care and was given another opportunity to compete on MMA’s biggest stage. Unfortunately, the fight didn’t go as the Brazilian had expected and has raised questions about his career.

Despite Silva’s aggressive start, the Canadian’s clinch game and accurate elbow strikes changed the momentum, which decisively ended the bout early on.
