Hailee Steinfeld has shared the name of her and husband Josh Allen’s baby daughter for the first time.

The actress announced on Friday, June 19, that the couple’s daughter is named Harper Haize Allen, revealing the news in a heartfelt Beau Society Substack post titled “A letter to my daughter.”

Steinfeld wrote:

Dearest Harper, I’m in awe of you. You’ve been here for only a short while now, and somehow it feels as though you’ve always been ours.

The 29-year-old reflected on the early months of motherhood, describing the experience as both challenging and rewarding. She called the last “few months” “beautiful and exhausting,” and “sacred and so special.”

In the letter, Steinfeld said motherhood has taught her to appreciate everyday moments rather than major milestones. She further wrote:

I’ve learned that motherhood isn’t made up of grand moments as much as the tiny, precious ones…The sway of tired hips in the middle of the night, your little milk-drunk smiles, and the quiet realization, over and over again, that my heart is now somehow living outside of my body and it always will.

Steinfeld also reflected on the impact her daughter has already had on her life:

And even though I know I am meant to guide you through this life, Harper Haize Allen, the truth is that already, you have taught me far more than I could ever teach you…One day you’ll read this and know that to be true, my sweet girl.

The announcement marks the first time Steinfeld and Allen have publicly disclosed their daughter’s full name.

The couple married in California on May 31, 2025. Months later, Steinfeld revealed her pregnancy in a December Beau Society post titled “29 moments I love this year.” The announcement included a video showing her growing baby bump while Allen kissed it.

Steinfeld and Allen welcomed their first child earlier this year. On April 2, the actress announced the birth through Substack.

Since welcoming Harper, the couple has largely kept their daughter out of the public eye. Steinfeld offered a small glimpse of her child during a Mother’s Day social media post, sharing a photo of the baby’s hand and another image showing a polka-dot onesie.

While Allen enjoys a major milestone in his personal life, attention has also turned to the Buffalo Bills’ plans ahead of the 2026 NFL season.

In a recent preseason analysis, ESPN identified one move the franchise should prioritize before the start of the campaign: signing right guard O’Cyrus Torrence to a long-term extension.

According to the outlet, keeping Torrence would help maintain continuity along Buffalo’s offensive line and provide continued protection for Allen.

Torrence, a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, started every game for the Bills during the 2025 season. ESPN noted that he finished above average in both pass-block and run-block win-rate metrics.

The 26-year-old lineman also committed just one penalty during the season and allowed three sacks while helping anchor Buffalo’s offense.

With nearly three months remaining before the regular season begins, the Bills still have time to address Torrence’s contract situation as they continue building around their franchise quarterback.
