Talking about the performance in the tournament so far, Cuevas has shown that age doesn’t matter. The 34-year old Uruguayan, after passing the test of qualifiers, met Taylor Fritz in the opening round at the ATP 500 event. Cuevas showed why he is still a dominant force in tennis as he brushed aside the American in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

On the other hand, Stefanos Tsitsipas arrived in the German city with a lean patch of form. However, the 22-year old Greek showed signs of returning to his ominous best as he demolished Dan Evans 6-3, 6-1 in the Round of 32.
