Havertz Hattrick Hero as Chelsea beats Barnsley 6-0

Kai Havertz finally opened his account for Chelsea as they beat Barnsley 6-0 in their Carabao Cup tie. Havertz scored 3 as Abraham, Barkley and Giroud scored the rest.
Havertz’s Performance:
Kai was brought in from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer for an initial fee of £62 million. The 21-year-old has a slow start to his Chelsea career with 2 absolutely dismal displays in the Premier League. He had a quiet debut against Brighton and was subbed off at half-time at Liverpool, Lampard was desperate to get the best out of him.
Against Barnsley, Havertz played in his favoured No. 10 role and looked to combine well with Abraham while Mount and Hudson-Odoi covered the wings. Kai spoke to Sky Sports after the game, “I’m very happy to score three goals but of course it’s my beginning here at the club and I want to score more goals, more goals. This is my goal and I’ll try to do my best and I’m very happy to score three goals today and I hope to continue like that.”
He even commented on his chemistry with Tammy Abraham, “I think he’s a very very good striker and I think our partnership on the pitch was very good. It was our first game together but I like him very much as a striker. For me as a No.10, it’s very good to play with him.”
Havertz now faces West Bromwich Albion on Saturday night and will be looking to combine with German teammate Timo Werner as well.
