Chris Paul has certainly made a major impact on the Phoenix Suns as a whole. From being a top-five team in the entire league to becoming the best overall in the NBA is an easy task. The team managed to pull through a miraculous run last season making it to the finals but unfortunately looking to the Milwaukee Bucks.

During the regular season, the Suns were looking scared getting past almost any team that they faced. The Suns are currently facing the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the playoffs and are tied 2-2. Devin Booker had to make a sudden exit after facing a mild hamstring sprain sidelining him for at least 2-3 weeks tops.

After losing their leading scoring, the Suns have shown signs of struggle on the offensive end of the court. They managed to outscore NOLA during the second quarter but gave in to their beating in the rest. The Pelicans beat the Suns 118-103 tying series at 2 games per piece. Starting off the with Suns, they shot 50% from the field as Deandre Ayton led the roster with 23 points and 8 rebounds on 11-14 shooting.

Chris Paul once again worked his wonders on facilitation dishing out 11 assists but did not contribute much on scoring doing 2-8 from the field. CP3 led the Suns to a Game 3 victory finishing with 28 points and 14 assists on 10-18 shooting.  After going two games without turning over the ball, he committed 3 turnovers in their fourth game. Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 30 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists going 11-23 from the field. Jonas Valanciunas had a break-out night finishing with 26 points and 16 rebounds. Both teams shot poorly from the three-point range averaging 25%.

When Chris Paul led the Suns with 30 points and 10 assists in a victory during the series opener, analyst Skip Bayless praise CP3 for his masterful performance calling him better than his partner in crime, LeBron James at the age of 37. In a sudden turn of events, Bayless had quickly changed his mind on his comments slamming the player who struggled to help his team win.

“Sorry, Pels: Like Game 3, this game shapes up like one CP3 can take home in his first NBA home. Somebody needs to offset CP3’s ‘point god’ aura & mystique. You got it in you, BI? How bout you, CJ? Anybody???” said Bayless in Twitter. Fans were angered over his comments calling him out of his double standards on Paul’s game.
