Rahul Tewatia pulled off a remarkable chase for Rajasthan Royals against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday to add to the jailbreak he pulled off against Kings XI Punjab earlier on in the tournament.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) all-rounder Rahul Tewatia shared an old picture of him playing a sweep shot similar to a shot he played in RR’s win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League 2020. Rahul Tewatia has been grabbing headlines during the course of this IPL for his terrific performances.

Tewatia first gained fame for pulling off a stunning jailbreak against Kings XI Punjab at Sharjah. Tewatia, promoted up the order, was struggling to middle deliveries in a mammoth chase of 224. However, he trusted his ability to launch an astonishing assault on the bowlers to get to his fifty and take his side home thereby leading his side to an IPL record run-chase.

Tewatia was at it again on Sunday when RR played SRH. All hope seemed lost for RR when they lost half their side before the 12th over. However, Tewatia stitched together an explosive partnership of 85 runs to take his side home and win the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
