Dodge in Valorant: Ways and Actions
Valorant has a range of 16 agents and 6 maps to choose from for all its players. Although it does not provide the choice of choosing a map preferred by the player, the game claims to follow an algorithm such that the same map does not repeat many times for a player.
Some players might feel the need to dodge the queue in Valorant due to various reasons. Players might get their main agents locked by other players in the queue, face a map, not of their choice, or even get dequeued due to internet or crash problems. There are some ways to dodge a queue in Valorant on purpose if a player wants to skip that particular game.

A player can simply not choose an agent and let the timer run out on its own until the queue is dodged. Players should keep in mind if they do actually choose an agent, and not lock it in, the queue won’t be dodged and they might be given any random agent if they choose the same agent like another teammate. Another way to dodge is to disconnect the device from the internet or even close the game during the queue.

Consequences
Players should remember they have to pay a price for dodging a queue and causing inconvenience to other players in that queue. Valorant has a pretty straightforward rule of penalty for doing queues. With VALORANT Patch 2.05, queue dodgers were to face new consequences. Players who dodge agent selects will experience penalties that prevent them from queuing for a period of time. Frequent offenders will experience higher queue time penalties.
Players should keep in mind that while dodging once in a while to avoid a map or to get their main agent is not a big deal, frequent dodging affects other players on the queue. Now that Valorant has a ban system, players should only dodge when it’s absolutely necessary.
