It can allow you to get from one point to another in almost no time without much effort. In this article, we will go over the steps to fast travel in GTA 5.

How to fast travel in GTA 5
The process to fast travel differs widely between both GTA 5 Story mode and the online mode. The costs and even the vehicle needed to fast travel differs as listed:
Fast Travelling in Story Mode:
Fast Travelling in Story Mode is relatively straightforward and can be done even during a select few missions. The steps to do it are:
Step 1: As any character, go to an easily accessible area such as the sidewalk or a parking lot.
Step 2: Open the map and place a waypoint on the location you want to fast travel to.
Step 3: Close the map, open the smart-phone, navigate to the contacts section.
Step 4: From the contacts, select Downtown Cab and Co.
Step 5: Request a cab and wait for it to arrive.
Step 6: After the cab arrives, enter the passenger seat and select waypoint option on the location screen.
Step 7: Hit the skip ride button.
Step 8: A small fade sequence plays and you are now at the location you wanted. The fast travel does cost a little extra than what you would pay for a normal cab ride.
Fast Travelling in Online Mode:
The fast travel in GTA 5 online is a very limited feature for balancing purposes and to maintain the competitive integrity of an online game. If players had access to unlimited Fast Travel, they could easily avoid hostile enemies, environments or players and then there would be no challenge to the game. The steps to fast travel in GTA Online are:
Step 1: Reach a relatively open location.
Step 2: Open the interaction menu, navigate to the SecuroServ option and click on Register as CEO.
Step 3: Open the smartphone and navigate to the contacts section.
Step 4: Call your assistant.
Step 5: Out of the options that appear, select request luxury helicopter. This removes $5000 from you bank account.
Step 6: Wait for the helicopter to arrive.
Step 7: Upon landing, get into the helicopter.
Step 8: Select the quick travel options.
Step 9: Choose between the warehouses or CEO office you want to fast travel to.
Step 10: A short cinematic sequence plays and you are now at the location selected.
